My Story

I was born in Havana, Cuba and emigrated to the United States at a young age. I was blessed with a full-ride scholarship to Babson College, a small but mighty Business school in Massachusetts where I majored in Entrepreneurship and specialized in Strategic Management.

Throughout the last decade, I've spent time in Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Implementation roles that have given me unique insight into best practices at each level of the Revenue Operations equation.

I worked for HubSpot for almost 7 years, most of which were spent as a Consultant for their premier services team. During that time I learned how to combine HubSpot product knowledge with deep business acumen to help over 300 companies meet or exceed their growth and operational goals! To this day, many of the strategies I cobbled together for companies of all sizes and industries remain fresh in my brain and a part of my playbook. ROI was the name of the game as a Consultant, and I quickly found patterns and strategies that would yield the results clients need to see to say "whoa, this really works!".

After HubSpot, I spent almost 3 years working for a Kore.ai, a conversational AI company, where I founded the RevOps team and managed a group of 5 amazing specialists, each a master of their craft. Together we built the infrastructure that allowed the company to grow from $55M to $117M in a span of two years. Through this experience, I learned how to create a Revenue Engine by establishing an ecosystem of complementary technology, with HubSpot at the center.

I'm passionate about a people-first approach to Revenue Operations, and love to create solutions that improve a company's bottom line while helping employees work intuitively and intelligently, removing barriers to productivity by focusing on the employee experience and getting feedback every step of the way.

While many RevOps roles focus primarily on Sales, my time at HubSpot taught me to be Customer-obsessed, and Marketing Savvy. As such, I enjoy a multi-disciplinary approach to Revenue Operations that focuses on aligning all three departments as closely as possible. Silo's are bad for business and morale, and I take great joy in freeing people from them 😁.

Guiding Philosophies

RevOps approach: Define clear goals and metrics that are aligned across departments. Invest in technology and automation that help optimize processes, and always keep scalability in mind when planning. Make decisions that are data-driven and focused on the customer experience. Foster collaboration and proactivity, communicate results and celebrate milestones.

Preferred project management approach: AGILE. Iterate frequently, gathering and incorporating stakeholder feedback with each release. Plan sprints with vision and intention, meet often with my team, and hold retrospective reviews regularly.

Personal Culture Code Model: HEART. Be Humble, Empathetic, Adaptable, Remarkable, Transparent. Expect the same of others. Improve self constantly, be willing to learn from mistakes and adapt.

Lead through trust, not authority: Be curious and ask many questions—everyone has something to teach. Communicate a clear vision and provide a compelling purpose to motivate the team and align efforts.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast: Mistakes make in a hurry take twice as long to correct and can be costly.

Enable constantly and create champions everywhere: Help others grow and become a force multiplier of leaders. Develop strengths, and coach weaknesses up to baseline.
